Separately, Stinger, Lightning Max, Lightning Genji, and One Shotter (headcanons) with an S/O who’s often very cold, and ends up clinging onto them? Like, kinda hugging them from behind? If height matters, taller/around the same height as the tall ones would be fun, lol!

a/n; hello! Coming from someone who constantly has cold hands and feet, this was super cute and fun to write. Personally, I hardly know anything about these guys and only found crumbs of content of them, so I ended up kinda balling their personalities a little, sorry abt that 😢

STINGER

Stinger is the kind of person who matches someone’s energy with these types of things.

What I mean by that,, for instance if you’re someone who’s big on gift giving and gift him a lot of things, he’ll start sharing the sentiment just as much, if not even more.

It's more of an automatic response on his part

That being said, he LOVES your clinginess, and its gladly reciprocated.

Every time he hears you complain about how cold you are, he just automatically gravitates toward you so you can cling onto him, or he’ll beckon you into his embrace with his arms stretched out.

He always makes sure to wear warm jackets when you guys are together so he can hand it to you if you get cold.

He’s always expecting (anticipating) your back-hugs, and if a whole day goes by without you clinging onto him somehow(or perhaps he was busy that whole day and you both hardly spent time together), he’ll feel wrong.

Then he'll become the clingy one that night to make up for it.

LIGHTNING MAX

He too loves how clingy you are,

I can see him being into physical affection

He doesn't mind when you cling onto him spontaneously (if anything, it kinda makes him giddy). Unless he's lying down or doing nothing significant, he'll simply continue on with whatever he was busy with while you hold onto him.

He ALWAYS has a fuzzy blanket on standby in case you come to stick to him for warmth. When you do, he'll wordlessly and swiftly secure it around you (then envelopes you in a bear hug with a big ass grin cause he still loves being your personal heater)

If he feels like he's warm enough (if that makes sense) he'll sneak up on you and latch onto you in the pretense of 'cooling himself off'

ONE-SHOTTER

He's definitely not complaining.

He is concerned, though. Why are you cold all the time?? Maybe he should take you to a doctor?

Keeps extra gloves on him at all times, indoors and outdoors, lest your hands ever get cold.

He naturally and silently accommodates your clinginess. If you cling to his arm while walking, he'll slow his pace. If you curl up against him while he's sitting, he'll shift to ensure your comfort. So on and so forth.

He buys you a lottt of body-warming stuff. Heat packets, heavy blankets, socks, gloves, sweaters, etc.

LIGHTNING GENJI

the first few times you cling to him he’s a little, um, concerned? Confused? He’ll ask if you’re ok and when you explain your almost trivial predicament he kinda just accepts his fate, doesn’t ask or comment much.

it might seem like he isn’t big on the clinging but every-time you latch onto him, he feels like he’s one icy touch away from melting.

Most of the time when you cling on to him (in any way) he’ll drop whatever he’s doing so he can fully face you to wrap his arms around you in a tight hug, trying to get as much of his surface area on you.

Throws his sweaters and jackets at you like he’s got unlimited clothes.

Makes you a lot of hot soup and teas randomly, also makes sure you’ve eaten something every now and again so the cold isn’t as bad.

Amai: he doesn’t get any labels at the moment due to whatever the hell is happening to him however I do wanna place him on the aromantic spectrum

Iaian: unlabeled, unsure. he does not think. (about relationships at least) and probably doesn’t pick up on flirting until like… right after it happened. confusion. he probably thought about it ONCE though and was like “surely I like women…. Right?” And realized he’s found no woman he’s had interest in in terms of romance/love, and Kama doesn’t count because she’s more sisterly. Probably somewhere on Demi or aroace

Okamaitachi: canonically trans, hello? While I’m pretty sure the manga points her towards being a mostly men liker can you blame me for wanting to say she’s bi leaning towards men

Bushidrill: cishet ally-ish, still confused but Kama’s helping

Heavy Tank Loincloth: his macho-ness makes people believe he may be gay. Is he? We will never know

Blue Fire: same as Iaian in the sense he never thinks about it but all because he’s too busy focused on justice

Death Gatling: aromantic… will deny that he’s more into men than women. but unfortunately he is

Stinger: I’m stuck between bi w a preference for women or pan as he seems like he truly does not gaf

Magic Trick Man: ace, still determining other labels

More Ships I Root For

Well, well, OPM continues and we see more about how various characters relate. So I have some more!

I OFFICIALLY ROOT FOR METAL BAT AND GAROU TO BECOME A THING

Just look at how those two just vibe. Literally vibe:

Tatsumaki and King

I hadn't thought too much of it but this is one that has grown and grown on me. Yes, there's the dramatic irony of Tatsumaki thinking that she's dating the strongest man in the world when he's actually incredibly weak, but it has deeper roots than that. King is a genuinely good, kind, and respectful guy who'd never take her for granted and whose calmness would complement her energy wonderfully.

If she were to find out that he's weak, as she surely must, I don't think it'd be a bad thing. She doesn't need someone overwhelmingly strong, reminding her that she's weak (she already has that hang-up and it hurts her). Someone like King, who isn't strong but uses what little he has anyway to achieve great things is a great salve. She is enough.

Flashy Flash and Speed o' Sound Sonic

If there is one thing we've learned, it's that no matter how many different ways ONE thinks about them, they'll always fly to each other if trouble raises its ugly head.

I want to find out what broke down between them and please, I want them to find a way to move forward.

Doomed love: Empty Void and Blast

I have a bag of popcorn all ready for this one. They used to be partners. Which raises the question of how long Blast has known about Void having a sideline enslaving and abusing little boys until they became soulless assassins (if they were lucky). Don't stick your dick in crazy? More like don't stick it in evil! Many, many questions to be answered, heh hehe

OPM ‘Ships I Root For

It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of the most popular ‘ship in the fandom, SaiGenos. No diss on those who are!  Personally, teachers dating their students just isn’t my cup of tea. But, more importantly, I find their relationship too interesting and multi-faceted to be pruned and distorted until it fits into the ‘Romantic Love’ box. 

However, I’m not against romantic love in the least. One Punch Man isn’t big on that, alas.  

That said, there are a couple that I really am hoping become official.

Spring Mustachio and Golden Ball

We saw the two of them in chapter 20, working closely together to investigate the mystery of the Z-City Ghost Town (it didn’t go well for them, but that’s besides the point).  

They had such a nice energy together, clearly friends who were comfortable with each other.

But it’s since become clear that it’s a lot more than just a close working relationship:

Spring Mustachio interposing himself between Garou and Golden Ball after worrying that the latter had blown him off is so good:

Please ONE, could we have a hero couple and it be a gay one involving people who are not portrayed as freaks? Please?

Lightning Max and Ring-Ring

Now I know you two didn’t get off to the greatest of starts but I’m hoping that he at leasts asks her out at some point in the future.   The crowd may have booed him for beating a woman, but Max didn’t think her an unworthy opponent. 

A crack hope, but who knows?  

Ah, but what if she turns him down?  Oh, that too is fine – it’s life, after all.  I just hope he asks.  When they’re both better.

STINGER

Worried sick

He’s the type of guy to pay close attention to his loved one’s health, and you are naturally no exception.

When he picks up on your exhaustion, or signs that you might be sick like coughing, sweating, depleted profile,,,

He’s all over you, asking if you’re okay, if you need anything, maybe you should rest— He’ll get that for you! He should take you to the doctor—

Your stubbornness doesn’t do much on him, he can be just as stubborn and insistent, so it’s pointless tryna act tough.

Will get you some herbal tea passed down his lineage,

He tries to keep a close eye on you and make sure you’re staying hydrated/warm/well-rested, but of course, he’s not a free man, so he does his best to keep in touch with you when he’s out, specifically by calling.

He coddles you (extra) even if you try pretending that you’re fine.

LIGHTNING MAX

Stubbornness? Yeah, he’s not tolerating that

very quick to pick up on any change in behavior, so he can tell if you’re sick/exhausted as soon as you are.

Will insist on you taking ample amount of rest, will even tie you down to the bed if he needs to.

Buys you tons of food and snacks.

May or may not call in sick on your behalf for your job.

Yeah yeah, he shouldn't do that, bla bla bla, but you'll thank him later.

Forces you to drink a cup of water with honey three times a day,

And if you’re extremely sick, he’ll drag you to the doctor, no questions asked.

ONE-SHOTTER

Not the type to be really insistent or pushy, but will constantly press the issue that you need to rest!

Checks up on you more often and if you’re not resting or you’re doing something you’re not supposed to be doing in your state, he’ll let out a big sigh and say:

“______, please go rest.”

It’s really simple but the look of defeat+sternness he gives you is a bit coaxing,,,

If there are chores that need to be done and you’re still too stubborn to lay down and rest,

he’ll quickly do them before you realize so you don’t force yourself to do it.

LIGHTNING GENJI

Doesn't play about these kinds of things

I feel like he’d genuinely get mad at you if you try to be careless about your health and gives you a very long lecture.

Will scold you if he catches you doing any chores/work.

Makes you soup and hot drinks,

The type to really know how to take of a sick person,

You could probably wake up and find yourself wrapped in a blanket burrito with a wet cloth on your forehead,

He’s sitting beside you with a steaming bowl in his lap and an innocent smile telling you your soup is ready.

3. The fact that only Genji and Max have Lightning in their name but not stinger, and we still call them the Lightning trio anyways lmao
